Why horses?
Horses have no agenda, they do not judge. Horses appear to have access to our subconscious and therefore reach and reveal the crux of our issues much more quickly than other talk based coaching.
Horses are powerful teachers, they are highly sensitive, intuitive being which makes them extremely sensitive and responsive to body language, emotion, energy and the intention of everyone around them. Horses live in the present moment, alert to their surroundings and curious about what is happening in their environment. Being in their presence and attuning ourselves to being in the present with the horse allows us to cut off our mental chatter and simply 'be', and with that comes a sense of peace.
Horses don't hide or suppress their emotions, they meet and move through them, taking what information they need. Observing and interacting with horses helps to raise awareness of the ways in which we are, or can be, congruent to them and gives us an opportunity to feel, respond and flow with our emotions as they do.
EFL is suitable for anyone with any experience or none at all. It is also very versatile for corporate training, especially leadership and management.
Equine facilitated learning (EFL) provides a combination of reflective and active experiences with horses involving coaching, theoretical discussion and creative activities to develop intuition, flexibility and a healthy balance between mind, body, emotion and spirit.
EFL has a wide range of applications, from leadership and team work in both personal and business settings, to developing a sense of connection and calm within ourselves.
